Dr Boaz Mendzelevski

Dr. Boaz Mendzelevski is a Consultant Cardiologist 'Israel' and a leading expert in clinical Cardiac Safety. He received his degree in Medicine and Board Certification in Internal Medicine from the Ben-Gurion University Medical School and Hospital in Beer-Sheva and his Board Certification in Cardiology from the Shaare-Zedek Medical Centre and Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel. Dr. Mendzelevski completed further postgraduate training in Interventional Cardiology and Clinical Electrophysiology at the Royal Brompton National Heart and Lung Hospital in London.
During his work at the Royal Brompton Hospital Dr. Mendzelevski founded the first European contract research organisation ECG laboratory in London. He later served as Vice President of Cardiology for Quintiles, Covance and Bioclinica and was one of the first pioneers of Safety Cardiology in the pharmaceutical industry. He has been involved in all stages of drug development clinical trials since 1995.
Dr. Mendzelevski’s research interests include drug induced cardiotoxicity, in general and in oncology drug development (cardio-oncology), drug induced hemodynamic effects, novel antiarrhythmic therapies (with a focus on Atrial Fibrillation), new methods and analytical criteria of electrocardiograms (ECGs) in clinical research, and the use of continuous 12-Lead Holter ECG monitoring in clinical trials.
